Showing the educator behind the work: Andrea Hillbrick’s brand story

Andrea Hillbrick: Brand photography and content creation for an education consultant

Andrea Hillbrick is a Learning and Teaching consultant based on Victoria’s Great Ocean Road. With more than 35 years’ experience in education, she works with educators across Australia to strengthen professional learning and bring practical strategies into classrooms.

Andrea came to Studio Collins wanting visual content that reflected both her expertise and the warm, practical way she works with educators.

The brief

Like many experienced consultants, Andrea had built much of her work through referrals. But she needed a current, cohesive collection of images and video to support her brand storytelling across her website, social media, and professional communications.

The goal was not simply to create polished portraits. Andrea needed content that showed the person behind the work: her experience, her approachability and the way she helps educators turn new learning into classroom practice.

The work

Our work together has been ongoing and flexible, shaped around Andrea’s needs as her business and content requirements evolve.

It has included:

  • Brand photography to refresh her professional image

  • Content creation days to build a library of usable images

  • B-roll filming to support her video and online communications

  • Photography and filming at her workplace and home office

  • Guidance on how to use the new content across her marketing

Rather than treating each session as a one-off shoot, we’ve approached it as an evolving visual library: portraits and headshots, working moments, environmental images and video content that can support Andrea’s communications over time.

The approach

We began by talking about Andrea’s work, audience and the places where her images and videos needed to show up. From there, we planned sessions around her real working environments, making the process convenient and comfortable.

On shoot days, I aimed to create a calm, collaborative experience—capturing professional imagery while leaving room for Andrea’s personality, expertise and natural way of working to come through.

The result

Andrea now has a versatile collection of photographs and video content that supports her brand storytelling across her website, social media, presentations and professional communications.

The content helps her show up consistently, connect with educators and communicate the value of her work with greater clarity and confidence.

In her words

“I was so fortunate to have worked with Sharon! She is incredibly flexible and professional. Sharon willingly came to my workplace and home office to create B-roll and photographs. Her package was reasonable in price, and the quality was outstanding.”
— Andrea Hillbrick, Learning and Teaching Consultant

Working together

Andrea’s story is a great example of what I love most about brand photography: helping a experienced professional show up with imagery that feels true to who they are and supports the work they do.
