Before I pick up the camera, I take the time to understand who you are, what you stand for, and what these images actually need to do for you once the shoot is over, because a photo that just sits in a folder isn't worth the day it took to create. That's why every session starts with a plan, not a pose.

My work is collaborative by nature. Whether you come in with a clear vision or need help shaping one, we build it together, so what you walk away with isn't just beautiful, it's usable, across your website, your socials, your prospectus, wherever your story needs to show up.

My path into photography wasn't planned, and that's exactly why it works the way it does.

Before I was behind a camera, I spent close to two decades in education, including years as an EAL teacher. My exit from that career wasn't one I chose. But the skills that shaped it, planning carefully, reading a room, building trust before anything important happens, didn't disappear. They just found a new use.

Now, instead of planning lessons, I plan shoot days the exact same way. I think about the flow of the day before I think about the shot list. I think about who's in the room and what will make them comfortable before I ever raise the camera. It's why a Studio Collins session doesn't start with "say cheese", it starts with a conversation.

This is also why schools trust me with their most important days. I already know how a school day runs - bell times, timetables, staff availability, consent, because I've lived it, not researched it. It means a shoot fits around your school, not the other way around.

I work with two kinds of people who, on the surface, look different but want the same thing: images that are true to who they are and that actually get used.
